HIGHLIGHTS OF POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

The Department offers Civics for the Intermediate and Political Science for the Degree courses.

The syllabus for the Intermediate level is prescribed by the A.P.Board of Intermediate education.

Undergraduate Course :

1. a. The magnitude of the units is greater and extra topics have been included, though the syllabus followed is similar to the common core syllabus of Andhra University.
   
   b. The department offers a one Semester course in ‘Human Rights’ and ‘International Politics’ as General Electives during IV Semester for the B.A. & B.Sc. students.
   
   
2. Information about National & International Political organisation and their activities is transmitted by Role play method e.g. of Model Parliament & UN.
   
   
3. ‘International Relations’ and ‘E-Governance’ are the unique features of the curriculum as different from the University syllabus.
   
   
4. The students are encouraged to write daily news reports to keep them updated about the latest happenings in the political scenario.
