HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COMMERCE DEPARTMENT

The Department offers Commerce for the Intermediate and the Degree courses.

The syllabus for the Intermediate level offered in combination with Mathematics and Economics is prescribed by the A.P.Board of Intermediate education.

The Undergraduate program is B.Com (Vocational) with Computers.

Commerce, the Queen of the so called progressive Social Sciences in today's College Courses has been offered since half a decade in the College. The Papers offered by the B.Com (Vocational) Department are Business Statistics, Managerial Economics, Industrial Organization, Financial Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Business Laws, Auditing, Computer Science papers like Desktop Publishing, DBMS, Structured programming in
C + +, TALLY, Accounting Software Applications, Income Tax, Operations Research, Web Designing, Computer Applications in Banking and Major Project.

The Department uses innovative methods like Projects, Role Plays, Seminar Presentations and group Discussions and so on. Prominent professionals from the city and city colleges are invited to interact with the students for professional enrichment.

The Department has been successful in campus recruitment in WIPRO, GENPACT, INFOSYS, Bank of America, HSBC and others. Our Alumnae are pursuing M.Com , M.B.A., C.A, M.H.R.M besides those who are working.
